I Am Not A Robot
In this project I used the language of drawing to explore memory, perception and the mediation of digital imagery and the media. Exploring a narrative which ties together my personal experiences and the digitally mediated world. How is my experience seen through media and how is this interpreted? How does the digital age impact our lives and our memory? And what will we remember from these times?
I am not a robot explores the relationship between personal circumstances and the broader cultural sphere and how the media depicts our individual circumstances. I used my own images and photographs to create drawings which tell the story from my own perspective, starting from a personal narrative of my experience of the current times. It conveys this conceptual sense of space and place. The space of the virtual, the grid. Also, physical space where memories take place and how are we affected by what is happening globally in parallel to local.
